2ND ANNUAL RADIOTHON FUNDRAISER
This Wednesday, November 16th we are again holding our all day radiothon to support our 11th annual Toy Store. This year our goal is to once again service and break our record in number of families and children this holiday season. Radithon 2022 has already raised more than $10,000 for the kids. Corporate sponsorships are a unique opportunity for businesses to give back in an important and meaningful way and promote your business.
Of course an individual contribution of any amount will be greatly appreciated by us and the kids. It's all about the love and making kids smile. As always we happily accept toy donations as well. In addition to the toys, each hour we raffle off two TV's, a tablet and two bicycles as well as other great prices. Lots of work and a lot of love by many make this day happen. This year we will be holding the Toy Store on December 17th.

Coat Drive 2022
500 brand new winter coats, hats and gloves given to children at our coat store yesterday. The warmth of the kids smiles as they searched the racks for the perfect size and color makes it very special. Watching the parents as their child stood in front of a mirror just as they would in a retail store was priceless.
Very grateful to our amazing sponsor Wellbel for not only their generous donation but for working the store all afternoon with us.

Coat Drive 2022
BACK TO SCHOOL 2022
For the last 8 years our law firm and brand Liga De Justicia Abogados together with the Monica R. Martinez have held an annual backpack, school supply, haircut, food extravaganza to assist the children and families of the Brentwood, Central Islip, Bay Shore and surrounding areas. To date we have distributed more than 10,000 backpacks. During the high point of Covid we did not stop. We created a drive through event and added food packages as will as PPE supplies.
This year as you know we have our date of August 20th set. We held this event for the last 4 years at Brentwood High School and were so grateful for the District to partner with us to make the magic happen.
Sadly, politics which has never played a part in this annual event, has now reared its ugly head. There was an objection to our using the school grounds this year levied by a candidate running for office and as a result the school district denied our permit. Below are a few pictures of the children the people who objected to our event seek to deny the wonderful school supplies and gifts we have prepared for them. Shame on anyone who would act in such a way and instill selfish and political pressure to halt a day their own community has come to rely on and enjoy every year. This event is not a photo opportunity but instead the work and collaboration of dozens of volunteers on behalf of families in the community who are screened by multiple not for profit agencies.
This year we have 1500 children registered. The event will go on as planned on the original day at a new location to be announced later today. We will not be deterred by pettiness when our hearts are filled with hope and compassion.
